What I thought might be a one off event last week has turned into a very nice spell of winter weather in the Welsh mountains. It’s been cold enough for long enough now for ice to form in the quantity that you can climb on. Dylan and myself went up high and found some great ice climbing on Clogwyn Du. Starting modestly we warmed up with Y Gully Right Hand before climbing the considerably steeper but brilliant Y Gully Left Hand. Dylan had a little bash on the lead before we headed for home, waltzing up the easy but fun Hidden Gully
