Following yesterday’s damp outing I didn’t have high hopes for today but by traveling a little bit eastwards Tom, Laura and me have had a belter of a day. We’ve been up onto Creag Meagaidh ascending by the enormous Raeburn’s Gully. A bit of ‘white room’ navigation was required to reach the summit before we descended via the narrow col of The Window. Aided by the excellently made path in and out of Coire Ardair we had time enough left to spend a bit of time at The Window having a look at simple ways of using a rope to protect the exit and entry to grade one gullies. Skills which will add to Tom and Laura’s set of skills for future adventures. The long and rapid glissade back into the corrie was the icing on the day’s cake.
