It has been another wonderful day today here in Snowdonia, as we sat having lunch on Crib Goch I couldn’t think of anywhere else I would rather be on a day like this. With Pen Y Pass car park full we set off from Ynys Ettws, which was busy hosting the BMC International Climbing Week but still plenty of room for us. We then enjoyed the scramble up to the side of Craig y Rhaeadr into Cwm Uchaf before scrambling up the North Ridge of Crib Goch – a fantastic route that we had entirely to ourselves. The ridge itself was dry and the winds light so we were able to enjoy the traverse and its wide reaching views in full, heading over Garnedd Ugain and Crib-y-Ddysgl before descending Gyrn Las into Cwm Glasswork Mawr.
