I am on the Isle of Skye now for our week of scrambling on the Cuillin Ridge. I left home Friday morning and headed to Keswick for lunch before enjoying a ride up and around Skiddaw – the big hulk of a mountain that sits above the town. It was pretty steep in places and I can’t pretend to have ridden the whole thing (there was some carrying involved) but it gave a lovely few hours out before fish, chips and beer in town.

Yesterday I drove upto Skye and this morning enjoyed a short ride in some pretty shocking weather. It has been really wet all day, cold and with no visibility. I rode uptown Coire Lagan which is one of my favourite places in the world – it was too cold and wet to loiter though and so I headed down on some really technical riding to Glenbrittle. Fingers crossed the weather improves this week!
