A fun couple of days with Dylan and Gavin. Gavin is doing a great job of passing on his enthusiasm for climbing to his nephew and complementing their regular trips to the climbing wall they’ve been out climbing with us a couple of times now in Snowdonia. Yesterday we clocked up a bit of multi-pitch mileage in the Llanberis Pass on Dinas Cromlech’s Spiral Stairs and Carreg Wastad’s Crackstone Rib. Both climbs feature in the book ‘Classic Rock’ and deliver a fair dose of exposure above what you might expect from their relatively modest length. Today was spent in the friendlier setting of Tryfan Bach which although lacking perhaps the grandeur of the Llanberis Pass cliffs was the ideal place to hand over the lead to Dylan who made a great job of leading Gavin up a number of the climbs there.
