Alpine Skills Courses & Trekking/Snowshoe Holidays
The European Alps offer some of the most dramatic mountains to be found anywhere in the world. Our range of skills courses are designed to help you enjoy them as a walker in summer or winter. There is no climbing involved, no glaciers, no ropes, no crampons or ice axes just wonderful scenery, beautiful Alpine villages and of course (most of the time!) blue skies and sunshine!
If you are a hill walker in the UK and would like to progress onto trekking in the Alps under your own steam in summer then our five day summer skills course will teach you everything you need to know over the course of a week based in Switzerland. You will also enjoy a couple of nights in Alpine huts, climb a 3000m peak and enjoy stunning views across the Alps.
If you fancy widening your skills to allow you to travel the Alpine mountains in winter then our five day course will introduce you to snow shoes and the world that they can open up for you. The course also spends plenty of time looking at avalanche avoidance, the use of transceivers and winter Alpine navigation as well as an overnight trip to a high mountain hut.
Our trekking holidays allow you to be guided on classic Alpine trekking routes where we do the organising and provide the leadership whilst you enjoy the scenery. |
