Location: Snowdonia, North Wales
Role: Technical & Safety Adviser to T.V, Film and Media Industry
We understand that filming in remote locations involves satisfying Health and Safety Risk Assessments and are able to provide the technical competence and local knowledge to fulfil this role in the mountains and rural areas of Snowdonia.
Technical Skills: As a Mountaineering Instructor (MIC) I hold the highest level of qualification in the UK for working as a technical adviser and mountain instructor. I am also an active member of Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team (covering Snowdon) and a Search Dog handler and so have a wealth of experience in practical issues such as the extraction of injured personell or the rigging of sfaety systems to look after camera crews in a cliff top context.
First Aid Skills: I hold HSE approved mountain First Aid qualifications as well as a more advanced Mountain Rescue (MREW) Casualty Care qualification and the Intermediate Emergency Care in Mountain Rescue Qualification.

I have experience of working in front of the camera as well for documentaries/promotional films involving instruction or guiding.
How does it work?
I charge a daily rate per consultant. I will provide advice on the number of consultants required on a shoot once I have received a brief.
On magazine articles, documentaries or film work where we are in front of the camera we will be able to negotiate our fee in exchange for publicity.
