Welsh 3000 Challenge - 15 peaks of Snowdonia over 3000 feet

Location: Snowdonia
Price: £350 per person
Ratio: 1:4
Length: 5 days

What is the Welsh 3000 Challenge?
The Welsh 3000 challenge aims to climb all 15 of the summits of Snowdonia that top the magic 3000 feet mark. It is often referred to as the 14 peaks challenge because there is some debate as to whether there are 14 or 15 seperate peaks over 3000 feet. We run the challenge over 5 days which allows time to enjoy each summit and take some of the more interesting routes away from the beaten track.

Who is the course suitable for?
Anyone with a reasonable level of hillwalking fitness, able to walk for 5 consecutive days. We will provide all of the specialist equipment and do the navigation and route finding and can teach skills along the way to those that are interested. This is a 5 day holiday for anyone that would like to tick off all the the Welsh mountains over 3000 feet.

Where is the course held?
We run the course in Snowdonia and generally spend one day looking at micro navigation on the lower slopes before completing a mountain journey on the second day. We have the right to roam in Snowdonia and so are not restricted to staying on footpaths and this helps develop our map to ground reading skills.

What about accommodation?
We do not include accommodation with this course. For a variety of different accommodation options in Snowdonia, from camping to nice hotels, visit this link. If you have a group of people then we are able to arrange accommodation in a local bunkhouse, call or email for details.

Whats included?
The course fee includes instruction and the use of any specialist equipment. You can read our "whats included" and kit list page here.
