I am back home from Scotland now at the end of a brilliant winter season. As I am sure you know we have had more snow and ice in Wales and Scotland this winter than we have had for about 20 years.
At the end of November I was getting concerned as there was not a lot of snow about, but we need not have worried! On each of the winter skills courses I ran we had fantastic weather making for some brill photos. You can have a look at them on my gallery page. In February I headed out to Norway ice climbing with regular clients Paul and Jason and had a great week of steep ice and short walk ins! March saw some great winter mountaineering and climbing courses and again we got some lovely photos on classic routes.
I am heading out to the Alps in two weeks time for a couple of weeks Ski Touring and hopefully some climbing too if the ice conditions improve out there. Once I get back we are into the rock climbing season. The end of April is often a brilliant time here in Snowdonia with warm sunny days and little rain. Fingers crossed!
I have got spaces on some of my open courses, so if you are interested in getting out this spring/summer heres whats on offer:
April - 5 day learn to lead - 26-30th - 1 space remaining
May: intro to scrambling - 3/4th - 2 spaces remaining 5 day navigation and scrambling course - 4 spaces remaining from 10-14th
June: 5 day learn to lead rock climbing - 7-11th - 2 spaces Rock Improvers - 2 spaces 14th & 15th Advanced Scrambling - 2 spaces 21/22nd
