How often do you return from a weekend in the mountains where the scenery was stunning, only to be disappointed when your photos don’t live up to your memories? I have teamed up with professional landscape photographer Tamara Kuzminski to offer you a weekend of hillwalking and tuition on how to take better photographs in the mountains.

You will learn how to capture the essence of your day in the mountains. Transferring a 3-dimensional landscape into a 2-dimensional photograph and still keeping a sense of depth, distance and majesty. You will also be taught how to bring out the texture of the rock, and how the direction and quality of light affects the landscape, as well as learning how to get great dynamic action shots of your friends.

Snowdonia is an ideal venue from which to base the course, as there are interesting rocks, lakes and features to photograph at every turn. The exact itinerary will be determined by the weather, but we’ll be out with our cameras no matter what!

You do not need to necessarily be an experienced hillwalker. Just bring along your enthusiasm, a sense of adventure and your camera. Anything from the smallest compact to the latest and greatest SLR is fine (film or digital).

Accommodation
Because I am not running an outdoor centre I am not in the business of trying to sell bed-spaces! This means that I can keep the course costs low and you can then choose an accommodation type to suit your budget from camping to hotels. Follow this link for a full list. Course members often then meet up in the pub of an evening to share experiences from the day.
