I have been out with Ed, Alex, Keith and Robert for the last couple of days on our intro to scrambling course here in Snowdonia. We kicked the course off yesterday in good weather by heading up the Gribin Ridge and descending Seniors Ridge on the Glyderau. This is a great combination for teaching as both routes have a variety of lines to suit all ability levels and it is always great to praise descending as well as heading up stuff! The light was magical as orographic cloud rolled over the summits, a definite hint of autumn in the air for the first time.
Today was a little bit moist and breezy and we scrambled up Little & North Gullies on Tryfan and the descended the North Ridge is some pretty slippery conditions so the boys did well and concentrated hard on their new found movement skills! Definitely feeling autumnal today!
