Last week saw a high pressure system settle over North Wales and so we had some lovely sunny days with very little wind – an Indian Summer! I made the most of the week, grabbing some pre-dawn starts and some sunsets with my camera. Here are some of the results.

Looking down into Cwm Idwal from Pen Yr Ole Wen. I spent the night in the van to get this shot at sunrise – the clouds blocked the light though.
The golden hour in the Ogwen Valley with Tryfan the main attraction.
The sun breaks over the horizon from Crib Goch. Another night in another car park to manage the 4:45am start required for this one – with Charlie Leeds.
Charlie on Grib Goch as the sun rises behind him. These shots are actually screen grabs from a new film that I am making with Charlie – it should be out in December. Keep an eye on my filming website
Late evening light on Dolmen Ridge – a solo scramble to catch sunset from the Glyderau.
Topping out on Dolmen Ridge
The last light of the day hitting Tryfan from the top of Bristly Ridge
Sunset from the summit of the Glyderau – that’s Castell Y Gwynt on the left
Stars over Llyn Mymbyr with the Snowdon Horseshoe in the background.
