For the second day of our winter skills course we headed back down to Glencoe after a planning session this morning looking at avalanche and weather forecasts. We climbed Buachaille Etive Beag which provided a Southerly aspect and some firmer snow where we were able to utilise crampons and axe. Along the journey we continued to build avalanche avoidance knowledge and then at the top we looked at the use of a rope to check out a descent route from above. We had some pretty harsh showers come through but also got some ace views. Of course the camera only came out for the good stuff 🙂
