Topics Covered:
Belaying techniques: lead belaying and belaying a second from above
Two full days of climbing on multi-pitch routes
Safe abseiling and descent methods
Setting up top and bottom rope systems (optional)
Equipment selection and use
Movement coaching on rock
Crag safety and hazard awareness
Reading and interpreting climbing guidebooks
Course Location
We run the course across a variety of single and multi-pitch crags in Snowdonia, chosen based on weather and client needs. Snowdonia offers:
Roadside crags for easy access
Long mountain routes for full-day adventures
Sheltered venues suitable for year-round climbing, including the North Wales coastline
What’s Included
Two days of expert instruction
Use of specialist equipment: ropes, harnesses, helmets
Detailed kit list provided upon booking
You’ll need your own rock climbing shoes. If you have your own gear, feel free to bring it.
Accommodation & Transport
Accommodation is not included, allowing you to choose lodging that suits your budget. Snowdonia offers options from campsites to boutique hotels.
