Sail & Climb Scottish Highlands & Islands

Sail & Climb Scottish Highlands & Islands

Sail & Climb, Scottish Highlands & Islands

A five day adventure where we explore the wilder parts of the Scottish Highlands and Islands to climb some of the mountains that are difficult to access by car.

Ratio: 1:4
Season: Late spring/Early Summer
Price: £750 per person

Trip Outline

We will meet in Mallaig on Monday morning.  A short hop North allows us to sail into Loch Nevis where we can climb the Munro’s of  Knoydart – wild camping on the coastline. Carrying on up the Sound of Sleat we can tuck into Loch Hourn which gives access to some of the Munro’s on that side of Knoydart.  These mountains are wild and unreachable by road – a small sailboat is the ultimate way to gain access.

The Walking

We will be in wild and remote mountains and we will need to be self sufficient. We will include terrain up to grade 1 scrambles and we can expect big days over rough ground.

Accommodation & Food

We will wild camp in the mountains and take food and equipment in with us by boat. You will need your own camping equipment and to arrive provisioned for 5 days in the mountains. If we experience bad weather we can opt to head for a bothy or bunkhouse.

What’s Included in the price?

The course fee includes guiding/instruction only. The boat trip is provided free of charge and you will need to supply your own food and equipment.
